Midwest Communications has recently bought the domain names 943thedrive.com and 997thedrive.com for WROE and WRQE, in addition they have applies to change WROE and WRQE's call letters to WYDR and WZDR.  Additionally some changes may be on the horizon for WOZZ as a new domain has been registered for 93.5 as well, 93RockOn.com.

Milwaukee to Gain a Second Top 40 Outlet

"Tiger 106.9" in Milwaukee is expected to end this afternoon in favor of a Top 40 format as "106.9 NOW - The New Hit Music Channel."  The new website will be http://1069now.com.  106.9's new call letters will be WNQW. Update: 106.9 had a new website up with this info.  As of this writing, the new website has been taken down.  More info as we find it.

Smooth Jazz moves to HD2 in Milwaukee

106.9 WJZX (Brookfield-Milwaukee) has dropped Smooth Jazz from their main signal and moved it to 106.9 HD2 at Noon.  Right now 106.9 is Stunting as "Tiger Radio - Music for Cheaters & The Ones they Cheated On." Hear the audio of the change.

Format Changes Planned in Northern Wisconsin

The new owners of Heartland Communication's stations in Northern Wisconsin, Jim and Diane Coursolle are planning some format changes in July.  The following stations will pick up a syndicated talk format; AM980 WNBI (Park Fall) - Changing call letters to WPFP, AM1400 WATW (Ashland), and AM950 WERL (Eagle River).

96.7 WLJY Tweaks Format

96.7 WLJY (Whiting-Wausau) has tweaked to a Hot AC format as "Mix 96.7."  The change happened at Midnight.  John Tesh remains in the morning and Delilah at night.  Long time midday personality Polly Peterson has been replaced with Jen O'Dell and Ryan Seacrest is in the afternoon.  WLJY has a new website. AM860 WNOV (Milwaukee) expands to the FM band using translator 102.5 (W273AT).  WNOV has rebranded as "Majic 102.5."
