On December, 31st, 2003, at Noon the Smooth Jazz/Light AC format on WCJZ ended, following that 6 nonstop hours of a clock ticking played. Clear Channel decided to bring back "Mad Radio" to the Mad city. At 6PM the same day, WCJZ became WMAD, and Mad Radio returned.

After being given nearly a 2 year run, Clear Channel once again axed "Mad Radio," reason can be attributed to low ratings. After seeing some rumors and the new website I "rolled tape" to catch this flip. At Midnight on the 23rd, "96.3 Star Country" was born, with 10,000 songs in a row.
