For a few years after ending their all Christmas format, WMYX decided to have a little fun and fake some format flips. They are below for your enjoyment!

After taking a year off from "stunting" after ending Christmas music, WMYX once again fooled Milwaukee. This time with a very
believable stunt!!! This included jingles and very professional sounding liners/sweepers. Spirit 99 hit the airways in Milwaukee for an hour, featuing a very good mix of CCM.

After being all Christmas for over a month, Entercom decided to play a little joke on us radio nerds...at midnight on December 26, 2004 an old Milwaukee radio station returned on 99.1, Magic 99 was on the air, only for an hour, then back to Hot AC as "The Mix."

In 2003 WMYX secretly decided to go all Christmas, beating WLTQ to the punch by a day or two, suddenly WLTQ quickly flipped to all Christmas after WMYX did (nice story?)! Well after WMYX's Christmas format, there were people wondering if there would be a format flip, and in a way there was. On December, 26th, 2003, WMYX ran this liner, trying to fool us radio geeks into thinking that a new format would debut, instead "The Mix" came back on the air, with a little bit of a tweaking.
