More Country in the Valley/Green Bay
According to their Facebook Page, 92.9 WXMM is expected to sign on tomorrow with a Country format. WXMM is owned by Woodward Communications and will serve the Fox Valley and Green Bay.

SAM comes to Rhinelander
100.1 WRHN (Rhinelander) is dumping their hot AC format as "Star 100" in favor of Adult Hits as "100.1 SAM-FM." This change takes place on September 1st.

WPKR and WPCK return to Simulcasting
99.5 WPKR (Omro-Oshkosh) and 104.9 WPCK (Denmark-Green Bay) are now simulcasting their country format as "99.5 & 104.9 the Wolf." They have combined some elements of both stations and added new staff, featuring: Rob & Louise in the Morning, Shotgun in the Afternoon and Cody Alan at night. WPKR and WPCK were a country simulcast for years before Cumulus' purchase of the stations.

WISS Changes Format
AM1100 WISS (Berlin) is changing formats from Oldies to News/Talk starting May 2nd. The lineup includes: Pam Jahnke, First Light, Big Red Morning News, Kilmeade & Friends, John Gibson, and Tom Sullivan. WISS, also heard on translator station 97.3 (W247AZ-Berlin), will be known as "Big Red AM1100, The Talk of the Valley."

More Country coming to Appleton/Oshkosh
As reported on the Woodward Communications website, 92.9 WLWB-FM is expected to be on the air in August, possibly with a Country format.

Tower Collapse in Fairchild
As reported by WEAU-TV (Eau Claire), the tower in Fairchild, WI which was home to WEAU-TV and WAXX-FM has collapsed. What's notable about this is the WEAU/WAXX tower was the tallest tower in Wisconsin.

Adult Alternative in Green Bay
"106.7 the Zone" in Green Bay has dropped Alternative Rock in favor of Adult Alternative. The station is called "106.7 the Kruise - WKRU."

93.7 WEKZ (Monroe) has changed formats from AC to Oldies as "Big Oldies 93.7."

New Non-Comm coming to Waupaca
Waupaca Area Public Radio has been granted a contruction permit for a new FM non-comm in Waupaca. (Mark Gerlach). The new station will be on 91.5 and will broadcast with 3.9kW at 100m.
