FOUR classic rock stations? This market needs some variety. How 'bout a CHR or Hot A/C on KDAL? Midwest seems to do a pretty good job with WIFC and WIXX- maybe that formula would work in Duluth???

A market with 4 leading stations should usually consist of 1 Country, 1 Rock or Classic Rock, 1 AC, and 1 CHR or 1 News/Talk or 1 Sports/Talk. Markets with duplicate formats tend to wear the formats out in a hurry.

Looks like Ron Stone is out at Midwest in Duluth. His last day is May 15th. Anxious to see what changes unfold under new management.

Duluth commerical FM dial:
92.1 AC 94.1/104.3 Mainstream Rock 94.9 Classic Hits 95.7 AAA 96.5 Classic Rock 98.9 Country 101.7 Oldies 105.1 Country 107.7 CHR (adult-leaning in the day)
107.7 already is similar to WIXX.
How about a real CHR like a KDWB, KCLD St. Cloud or a Z104?
Or a well focused Hot AC could work as Mix 108 is more Hot AC during the day and flips to CHR at night.

One classic rock bites the dust. 102.5 returns to its heritage CHR format as KDWZ. Should be a hit. Nice to have a full power CHR in that market again.
